8350i from Nextel USA to use in Mexico, Canada, Asia and Brazil -
Apparently someone in Brazil paid $35 for an "unlocking" service and can now use a Subsidy Locked phone with a Nextel Brazil SIM card. Obviously that's a retail storefront deal, but what about online? Anyone know what process was used? MEP Name? Flashing? Service Books? MSL? I'm lost on this one.
Answer:
The phone is used on the iDEN network. It must be flashed in order to work on the specific network you want. It can be done, but I doubt you would be able to find someone to do it. The iDEN network is not popular.
