Unlock your Blackberry and use i on any GSM net work.
You need to call them or go to a local store and tell them
You need BIS data. It's different than the add 100mb data plan
for Android/iphones/regular phones.

i just recently signed up with Wind Mobile and told Rogers to reduce my plan to the cheastest possible until i can cancel with no fee. i have an account with www rogers.blackberry com where i signed up for BIS it seems like i cannot create an account with www windmobile.blackberry com as everything has to be done on the device itself now. i used to have an email user@rogers blackberry net is it possible to keep this email despite being with a new carrier? i doubt it but i thought id ask and if so if i delete the email address is it gone for good?
Answer: Carrier named emails stay with the carrier. Once you leave the carrier, you leave that email name. You would need to create a new one with your new carrier. I never recommend using the carrier email, because of situations like this. Increase the value of your Blackberry Unlock it Today I'm finally switching providers, going from Rogers to TELUS.
Today I will be contacting TELUS to make the port and keep the same number. I have BlackBerry OS7, 9900. If I switch sim cards, what will happen? would I have to redo all my e-mails etc, or would those be transfered smoothly since I have my BlackBerry ID now? Anything else I may need to know about? Thank you! Answer: it's good that it is unlocked for sure, but also, the pin is associated to the provider i am assuming, so you can hook up all your services with out any glitches with TELUS if you have rogers disassociate the pin back in the day, like 1XEV cdma - when we had no sim - we'd still have to do some back end carrier provisioning stuff with the pins and bis email, or whatever so ya, just get rogers to do whatever they gotta do with the pin on their end, and you should be golden when you hook it up at the big T I have a telus blackberry. It was sent away to have the trackpad replaced and when I got it back the network is locked to rogers. It will not show another networks excepted for a SOS Rogers. Which means I can't use my phone. I have taken it back to telus few times and they keep telling me they can't do anything cause I did it. Is there anything I can do to fix this???
Thank you Answer: This sounds ridiculous. Unbelievable even. Who was it sent away to? To Telus? To RIM? You don't say. The people you pay are accountable to you. Contact whoever did this and demand that he fix it. 'm getting a blackberry 9780 tomorrow from a friend, and its from Bell. I'm going to get it unlocked right away because I'm on rogers. My question is: once I get it unlocked, and it registers with the Rogers network, will the bell carrier splash screen be replaced with the rogers one?
If not, is there a way to change it? Like, for example, by using the apploader to load an OS on with vendor.xml deleted? thanks for your help! Answer No the splash screen will remain Bell and there is no legitimate way to remove it. There are non-legal tool in order to remove it. Unlocking it will only allow you to use the phone on Rogers, the splash screen itself is built into the ROM. Deleting vendor.xml will only allow you to load the an OS meant for another carrier onto a different carrier's device ===================================================== www.unlockmybberry.com We unlock ALL Blackberry models We will unlock your Blackberry in minutes ~ Text 347-948-7040 ~ 100% Customer Satisfaction Unlocking BlackBerry phones 18hrs a day within minutes.
