I just switched from 9900 to 9810 via desktop software. Everything went over, but all my old emails were gone even though all the email icons transferred 2 the new device. I then went and restore my 9810 to a later date cuz I backed up 9900 right before I did the switch. Now all my old emails are there on 9810, but it doesn't let me send emails.

How do I fix this? Do I have 2 renter all my email passwords 2 make it work? If so, can someone help & give me detailed instructions?

you will need to log into your T-Mobile BIS and change devises. the BIS sends and receives your emails and sends them to your phone. It probably still has the old pin# it is trying to send them to.

When I back up my BB 9810 using desktop manager I noticed as the bar progresses it showed 1379 messages and as it progressed a little more it showed 2753 sms messages. I am confident I do NOT have 2753 messages on my blackberry. Unless of course when I delete the messages they arent really deleting???? I am not so sure what the 1379 messages is referring to.


Any ideas why I am seeing so many messages being backed up?

Well that would be the correct normal way to do it and the way I delete messages be it anything in my messages catch all folder or SMS messages. There are times I will highlight the date and "Delete Prior" to get rid of all at once.

Emails I always delete one at a time so I can choose handheld and server.

I have not found anywhere that tells anything about once you delete that they should still be there. I do save alot of messages in my saved folder but I expect them to backup.

Well after 2 days with the att Galaxy S2 I can say for sure Android is no match for bb as a communication device. Yes, the S2 is a media powerhouse with Flash-- and it record 1080p for god sakes, but it's so damn clumsy to make a call, type a sms, check email... There are other issues with Android as well:

-No Sound Profiles: WTF, this is so stupid, I can either have ringer or vibrate, but to completely mute I need to go into settings which is 10 taps away. And why is there a stupid vibrate task symbol when I set it to ring and vibrate.

-No LED indicator

-No bedside mod. As advanced as it is, it expects me to switch to silent every time I go to bed?

-Clumsy, clumsy, clumsy... takes me twice the amount of time to push out a sms.

Finally...email is no where near instant. Even with the Gmail app which is suppose to be push... Push my ***.


Of course, its got advantages over BB but for me I think I'm going back. Will just suck it up and get the white 9810.

Hi, I've been running os 7.0.0.540 on my Blackberry 9810 for a week now.

What I noticed is that the battery is not lasting, in browser the return key does not work sometimes, in browser the track pad is also non reponsive sometimes.

Also when downloading a file, when u go to file manager to check file size it gives u the full size of file instead of the size downloaded already.

Does anyone else have same issues, is there a better os avaliable.

I have a 9900 and I have been running 7.0.0.540 for 9 days and it has transformed my battery life. It seems to be far better than any of the previous OS versions.

Could someone please help me,understand why the iphone 4s,and the android gs2 is better then lets say,the bb 9810?? I mean i've used all three,and i must say for being totally bored and having i guess no life,and not caring about security to a certain degree,i now know why there is a huge hype on the iphone,and gs2 there strictly gameing deviices,and this is why i will never ever leave my bb,unless Rim totally blows up lol,i will stand right by them,and if they do go under,then my choice would be android,not a dictatorship runned company like apple.

Do the research like everyone else here who owns and happy with their BB. Nobody is goingto be 100% satisfied with anything but you have to make up your own mind.

I had owned a flawless Tour for over 2 years and upgraded to a 9930 that has been rock solid. I don't know any other manufacture so to say that Apple is a dictatorship is wrong, what they are is the best selling Smartphone Comapany in the world for so many reasons I am not going to get sucked in and start a list and leave it at that.

Also if more people would use the search feature we would not have so many duplicate threads asking the same thing or topic over and over again. Good luck with your choices.
