Sometimes I don't receive message through facebook for days to my phone and then all of a sudden, I'll receive three in a row from a week earlier.

And the worst part is, is that when I'm on my computer, even then, the message don't show up in Facebook... it's as if they're lost in transit to my phone and as a result, I don't receive them on either my computer or Blackberry.


I'm not talking about email notifications. I'm talking about the actual facebook messages. They seem to just disappear and then show up a week later. One time I received a message from a month earlier, that for some reason I never received.

Any idea how to fix this? It's quite aggravating, not being able to receive messages on either my bb or through my computer browser (chrome).

I had no such troubles on my 9800.
I would suggest you go back and check your settings both on your PC and on the phone. There is a place where you are asked whether you wish to receive notifications.

I am puzzled by your statement that even on your PC you miss getting notifications. I think you need to check your settings in FB, on your PC.

A few months back i loaded the OS 6 onto my Bold 9700. since then as soon as any of the text messages are 1 month old they disappear. there is information of who and when it was sent beside a green Text draft icon, but when i click on it, the text is empty. this seems to be the problem with OS 6 only as the same thing occurs on my friend's 9800 Torch. but there is no problem with my Bold 9000 running OS 5. the only way for the messages to stay longer is if you save each message individually. but this is a mega pain in the *** as i keep only the messages that i need and delete the rest.
there is more than enough memory on the handset and also the battery pull is not working. when in the "OPTIONS" of text messages there is no option for "Keep Messages Forever". i have also reloaded the software successfully a few times
is there actually any solution or is this simply a huge blunder by BLACKBERRY ? please help. thanks

You can choose how long to keep any Messages. From Messages (not Text Messages) press Menu, select Options and then Messages Display and Actions, scroll down this page to the bottom and set Days To Keep Messages."

Thus you can set the messages to be kept forever. This will stop the 'green out' of older sms messages but will probably take up more internal memory over time.

I downloaded a theme to my Torch 9800 and it supposedly came with 4 wallpapers and an animated lock screen. However, when I activate the theme, I'm unable to select which wallpaper I want as my main background, it just defaults to one wallpaper, and I haven't been able to make the animated lock screen work. Anyone know how to select different wallpapers within a specific theme?
